Progenitor’s Gambit Returns: USA & Philippines National Championships
The 2026 Alpha Clash season continues with the next Progenitor’s Gambit events, taking place in Des Moines, Iowa and Makati City, Philippines.
These events represent the next stops in the Progenitor’s Gambit series, with additional locations scheduled as the year progresses.
Event Structure and Features
The Progenitors enjoy challenging contestants and deck building creativity. Marcus, a soldier of the Whisper Ledger Syndicate, has been deployed and competitors will determine what they must do when they encounter him!
Marcus, Ghost of the Gambit begins each game in play for both players all weekend.
The Progenitors, in their twisted display of grace, also continue to offer more Bounty challenges to the willing contestants. The highest finishing player piloting a deck led by each of these Contenders will receive a $100 bonus cash prize and textless Bounty prize card.
The Contenders selected for these events are: Torque, the Diabolical; Shadowblade, Agent of the Shadows; Entropy, the Progenitor of Chaos; Iron Piston, Steampunk Defender; Valen Solariel, Healer of Eldralore; and Shadowlight, Bright Beacon / Dark Absence (USA only).
Prizing
Each event features a full prizing structure that rewards players across all placement tiers.
The Champion will receive a gold Absence, Shadow Incarnate prize card, while Top 8 finishers will earn a silver Overflowing Vitality prize card, alongside playmats and additional rewards.
Constructed Tournament Prizing
1st Place: $1,000 & 50,000 XP, National Championship Belt, Champion Playmat, Champion Prize Card, Top 8 Playmat, Top 8 Prize Card, World Championships qualification, Event Card pack, 4 Booster Packs for Draft, the opportunity to help create a future Alpha Clash card, and an XPN Champion Achievement.
2nd Place receives $500 & 15,000 XP, Top 8 Playmat, Top 8 Prize Card, Event Card pack, World Championships qualification, 4 Booster Packs for Draft, and an XPN Achievement.
3rd–4th receive $250 & 5,000 XP, Top 8 Playmat, Top 8 Prize Card, Event Card pack, World Championships qualification, 4 Booster Packs for Draft, and an XPN Achievement.
5th–8th receive $100 & 2,500 XP, Top 8 Playmat, Top 8 Prize Card, Event Card pack, World Championships qualification, 4 Booster Packs for Draft, and an XPN Achievement.
9th–16th receive 2,500 XP, Event Card pack, and 4 Booster Packs for Draft.
All players finishing outside the Top 16 will receive Event Cards and 4 Booster Packs for Draft.
