The next chapter of the Alpha Clash Trading Card Game has arrived. Ancient Alphas, the seventh core set in the Alpha Clash lineup, officially releases the week of February 23, 2026, continuing the Cosmic Block.

Ancient Alphas dives deeper into the Cosmic Conquest era, exploring the origins of the universe’s most powerful beings and the forces that will shape destiny itself. As the second installment in the Cosmic Block, the set brings new and past character support.
What’s Inside Ancient Alphas?
Ancient Alphas features 220 unique cards and introduces seven brand-new Contenders, expanding deck diversity across multiple affiliations and strategies.
New Contenders Enter the Clash
Ancient Alphas introduces seven new Contenders, each bringing fresh strategic identities to the battlefield. Featured Contenders include:
• Entropy, Progenitor of Chaos: Entropy is the first colorless Contender, the first Contender with 40 Health, and has the new Affinity keyword. As the god of Chaos, players can expect chaos with each game experienced.
• The Absence, Voice of the Void: Nothingness has manifested into a cosmic threat. Now, players can experience the new Void mechanic, allowing them to find utility with the Banish Zone. This being is a danger to all who face it.
• Fangyin, Defender of Drak’aroth: Dragons return to the Clashground as Fangyin is the second featured Dragon Contender. Fangyin thrives on the Temper mechanic, which gives players the ability to power up attached cards and reduce attach cost(s) by Tempering Weapons.
• Valen Solariel, Healer of Eldralore: Valen leans into her natural abilities; healing, drawing cards and playing Action cards for additional benefits. Don’t sleep on the powerful savior.
• Windhoof, Hero of Many: Players can expect new synergies with Arrow cards; connecting Avenging Guy and Windhoof from the past and present. This Champion of the Gambit adds new Weapons to his arsenal needed to fight back against the cosmic forces.
• Kheprius, the Scarab Weaver: This Egyptian Alpha brings Scarab Counters to the fight. Players will be able to leverage the ability to return cards to their hand and in return gain Scarab Counters. If the Scarab horde grows too large, it will be challenging for opponents to deal with.
• Gearwin, Steampunk Engineer: This Steampunk Dwarf packs a punch by utilizing Diminish, Discover, and Traps. With new tools added to her toolbox, she is a Savior to take seriously.
New Keywords and Mechanics
Ancient Alphas expands the Alpha Clash rules engine with powerful new keyword abilities that reshape combat and deck construction.
New Keywords:
• Void: When this card is put into the Banish Zone from anywhere, [You may pay X, if you do, ] trigger this effect.
• Affinity: You may only include one copy of each English named card in your deck. If a card being included matches the Quality of the effect, you may include the normal number of copies of that card instead.
• Temper: You may put a Temper Counter on the designated card.
• Toss: When a card attached to this that you control attacks, you may attach this to target Clash card you don’t control without paying it’s attached cost.
• Merge: Instead of playing this cards resource cost, you may instead send X Synthorian Clash cards you control to Oblivion.
Champion Deck: Brandon Nieves – Clarity, Deadly Duelist/Defender of All
Alpha Clash’s community continues to shine through our Champion Decks series. This season, we’re featuring Brandon Nieves and his innovative dual-sided Clarity build—a powerful and creative deck that showcases both competitive mastery and thematic brilliance. Brandon guided Clarity, Deadly Duelist / Defender of All to a Top-4 finish at Pro Tour: North America, claiming the Clarity Bounty and proving that balance can be as deadly as chaos.
Master both sides of existence with this brilliantly deceptive deck. Shift between healing light and consuming shadow, managing your health and commanding the board until the perfect moment to strike. When the time is right, unleash Overwhelming Burst to end the game in spectacular fashion.
The Clash Evolves
Ancient Alphas is more than a new set — it is the next evolution of the Alpha Clash universe. New powers rise. Ancient forces awaken. And the Cosmic Block marches forward. Lastly – I just wanted to give a special thank you to the community. It is incredible that we are on our 7 th core booster set. 2026 is going to be a fun year, with more on the horizon.
